Finalist is a revision platform for UK medical students sitting finals — the UKMLA applied knowledge test, the clinical and practical skills assessment, the prescribing safety assessment, and the jump to foundation year one. On the surface it is a comprehensive aggregator and tracker covering the whole content map. Underneath, the point of studying inside it is signal: every rating, drill answer, review and page view feeds a transparent model of what you know, which then reorders the app around you. The model is the product, and you can read all of it. The distinctive idea is an evidence hierarchy — a self-rating is the weakest tier of evidence, so a topic marked green but never tested is capped rather than counted as mastery, and the gap between confidence and measured competence is plotted as a Johari window whose dangerous quadrant is invisible to the learner by definition. Spaced repetition is real FSRS-5, sitting alongside deterministic question generation from structured content, per-section learning trees that branch and reconverge, and a placement mode that regroups the GMC practical procedures by where in a hospital you can actually get them signed off.
